About Rock n' Runtime

(Or: Confessions of a Recovering Perfectionist)

Hi. I’m Michel, and this blog is my backstage pass to the messy, glorious intersection of creativity and logic.

🔧 The Work Stuff

I’ve spent 2 decades:

  • Building things that should work (and sometimes do)
  • Obsessing over the invisible details that make systems sing, or groan, or growl
  • Trying to make technology feel more human—and less like a ransom note written by robots

🎶 The Play Stuff

When I’m not:

  • Falling down rabbit holes of "why does this work that way?"
  • Rearranging my workspace like it’s a pedalboard
  • Arguing with inanimate objects (my guitar counts)

…I’m probably daydreaming about better ways to organize… well, everything.

🤔 Why “Rock n' Runtime”?

Because:

  1. Great work has rhythm—whether it’s a killer bassline or a perfectly tuned process
  2. Everything interesting happens at the edges (of genres, technologies, and comfort zones)
  3. Let’s be honest: we’re all just making it up as we go

📖 What You’ll Find Here

  • Practical wisdom disguised as war stories
  • Unnecessary deep dives into things that probably matter too much
  • Occasional love letters to analog life in a digital world
  • Zero productivity hacks (but plenty of "oh THAT’S why we do it this way" moments)

🌿 The Fine Print

This blog is for:

  • People who care more about craft than hype
  • Anyone who’s ever lost an afternoon to "just one more tweak"
  • You, if you’ve ever looked at a spreadsheet and heard a guitar solo

Thanks for stopping by. Now go make something only you could make.
